Oh dear

I have three green ‘things’ growing up from the bottom of my computer screen.

Being sick has robbed my brain of normal functioning, even Kaila asked me if I had lost my mind yesterday, I yelled at the cat this morning and instead of saying  ‘Meggs’ I said ‘Kaila’ deary, deary me. I had a coffee yesterday afternoon and didn’t finish it all, tasted funny as my taste buds have gone on holiday (wish they would come back)  when I picked up my mug I had forgotten that it still had some coffee in it, I bent over to pick something else up from the table and wondered where all this liquid was coming from that was splashing all over my computer……….arrrrrhhhhh, I rushed out and got a cloth, too late and now I have three patches of liquid rising up from the bottom of the screen and it is green,  I have stuffed little bits of tissue in between the screen and the surround hoping it will dry it up (please!)

Oh dear…..sigh

Thursday I was out and about on the road for work again, stopped off and bought a few balls of dark blue yarn, Filatura Di Crosa, it has a slight fleck through it, which of course you really can’t see.  I am going to use this for the ‘other’ little vest for the as yet unborn baby.

and these balls of Heirloom cotton, it’s very much like Rico Creative cotton but it is twisted, so hopefully it won’t split.  Heirloom is an Australian yarn so it was a reasonable price and lots of nice colors

I am in love with the cottons at the moment and have been crocheting up a few little bits and pieces of which I can’t show you yet, shhh, it’s a surprise.  I will take photos and show once they have been delivered.

The other day I spied these cuties, apart from thongs (flipflops) I really don’t have a casual pair of shoes and I fell instantly in love with them….

Oh look my poor toes have to conform to the contour of the shoe, they are comfy tho.  They match my nail polishThere were, blue/purple and green/brown toned ones, I did love the blue ones too, but thought the ones I got were very summery looking.

Gosh I am still not well, thought I was over it, but got the grumpy tummy again on Thursday, so back to bland food etc.

Work has decided that they need me 3 days a week now, so on Monday and Tuesdays I will work for 4 hours and then 6 on the Thursdays, it gives me an extra 2 hours a week pay which is good, and the short days are much more suited to me as I still have the whole afternoon to myself.

We are having some lovely sunny days, however the rest of the week is back to cooler and rain, BUT next Saturday it is going to be 22deg, yipee, I think a spell of sitting in the sun and crocheting (or knitting) will be the order of the day.  A good dose of Vit D!

Have a wonderful, happy and safe week lovely girls and a huge hug to you all for your lovely comments, they make my day ♥

Oh Sandi, how horrible that you’re still unwell. I really hope the better weather helps you to perk up. Although if it hits 22 degrees here in the UK I start wishing it was cooler … that’s avergae summer warmth for us and about as hot as I can stand!
I do like the look of that Filatura Di Crosa, which colourway is it? And I love the Heirloom yarns too but they are almost impossible to pick up over here. I sometimes think we knitting and crocheting girls need to set up some sort of international yarn exchange!
Fingers crossed your computer recovers x

Oh poor you! Hope you are soon feeling better and the computer survives its coffee bath! Love those yarns – I’m a big fan of the cottons too, I like the feel of them as you work with them and they give a lovely weight to what you make. 🙂

OOh, I know your pain my sweet. I once dropped a pot noodle on my keyboard!!

Hope you’re feeling better now xx

    Dear Sandi,

You have ALL my sympathy! I too have been most poorly this past week; it is so strange at the tail end of summer to be sick but I felt loathesome!!!! And it really is BAD news when even your coffee tastes wrong.

This too shall pass. I am sending you loads of positive vibes all the way from France.

On a positive side your new yarn looks full of promise. I cannot wait to see what you make with it.

I am sure the next week will be a whole lot better for you.

    All the best,

Let’s hope the sunshine warms you up and fights off those lurgies! I love your cute little shoes, I can’t wear sling backs, the shape of my heel won’t keep them slung back… they just slide off and drive me nuts.

Oh poor you. Being ill truly sucks doesn’t it. Really feel for you.
Bummer about the computer……yikes, don’t know what to suggest.
I travelled Oz for a year and forgot flip flops are called thongs!!! I LOVE Oz, it’s my dream place to live. Apart from the snakes and spiders.
I love everything about Oz. We had the time of our lives there!!!
    Please be well soon.

I love the shoes,. I hope you feel better soon. It is awful to be so addled like that. I had my knee replaced a few months ago and have been on the mend here at home all summer. Right after the surgery and a week in hospital, I came home and was a mindless fool. My poor husband had to tell me the same things over and over. I felt like such an idiot. He is a saint though and put up with it and I am mostly back to normal. I like your blog and am going to follow you.

    Hello Sandi,
I am just here to see if you are feeling better.

    Warmest wishes,

    Stephanie

  13. Loving those shoes! And your crocheted blanket is gorgeous. Crochet is a skill I have not yet been able to achieve although not for lack of trying. Thank you so much for dropping by; I hope you are feeling better and your computer is not too worse for wear. I will definitely be back to catch sight of more of your artsy exploits. 😀
