Passport photo :(

I had to have my photo taken for a ‘Working with Children’  check, I was told by the person who took the photo that it was a nice one (from a male I might add) imagine my shock when I got home and had a look…….there was this middle-aged, non smiling, looking a little grumpy, with squinty lashless eyes woman staring at me…. he must have given me the wrong photo I thought….on closer inspection I realised it was ME waaaaaaaaa, sob.  Arn’t they the most hideous looking things…passport photos that is.  So guess what I did…yep went and had another one taken, slighty better.  I thought I would get a new passport too whilst I was at it, gosh they will take one look and think I am one heck of a grumpy person.  My question is why can you not have a little smile on your face….and more flattering lighting etc. etc.  I am not going to show you the photo, no surprise there, it’s too, too horrid, luckily they put a film over the top that softens it somewhat.

There is my grump for the day, oh apart from the fact that it has been the greyest of grey days and bucketing down with rain, but the upside is I got the house clean and I have been dry and warm all day and received a lovely surprise from Rae @ Scrap Matrix, thanks Rae xx

Off to have some very yummy roti, red chicken curry and rice for tea, compliments of the Malaysian restaurant where my daughter works, oh and a glass of chardy, warm and snug, then a spot of telly and some knitting, what could be nicer…yes, yes to snuggle up with a lovely man would be very nice, however I don’t have one of those so knitting it is 🙂
Bye for now, keep well xx

This is as close to romance we have in this little house, not that they will admit any hanky panky is going on, but I know better I have the evidence, will show you next time. hehe

My sister takes after Mumsie’s side of the family. I said to her “I look in the mirror and think ‘ooooh look – that looks just like me, only older'” Mandy said “You shouldn’t worry – I look in the mirror and think ‘ooooh look – what’s our Mum doing in the mirror!'”
A few years ago, I had to have a photo done for an ID card. My eldest son teaches Media Studies and specialised in Photography. He took the photo for me and I was well-chuffed. He really burst my balloon last year when he admitted that he’d spent 10 minutes “Photo-Shopping” my wrinkles and my double chin! SueXXX
